Knowing the lifetime of waste in nature

A tissue will disappear in 3 months. A newspaper will take between 3 months and one year to disappear. A cigarette tip will resist for 1 year to 2 years. A mere fruit peel takes about 5 months to decay. A chewing-gum will pollute for another 5 years, not to mention a plastic bag, which will spoil nature for as long as 100 to 1000 years! 1000 years is the time necessary for PVC to disappear. Glass will not disappear before 10,000 years! A tin can will resist for 100 years before disappearing?
