Choose between diesel and petrol

When buying a vehicle, if you have the option of choosing the type of fuel, between diesel and petrol, be aware that they are both polluting! Nevertheless the diesel engine produces less hydrocarbon, carbon monoxide and carbonic gas than petrol engines. Vehicles running on diesel consume less fuel, and last longer than the equivalent running on petrol. However the diesel engines reject toxic particles. Other substitutes for fuel exist and are in full development, inform yourself.
