Be aware of the impact on the environment of a golf course

Even if golf is practised in nature, with a beautiful scenery, grass, trees, water ponds, the mere fact of being able to play golf requires a considerable amount of operations which are very costly and harmful for the environment! As a matter of fact the tons of water necessary to irrigate the grass and fairways is equivalent to the consumption of a family of approximately 4 persons times thirty. Needless to count the amount of fertilizer and other chemical products used to make the course green, and the grass thick and uniform.
