Get rid of smugs naturally

A very natural and eco-friendly method consists in putting around the infested plants some wood ashes or some sand, so that smugs cannot crawl there any more. They will be forced to go somewhere else. What you can also do is put some little containers filled with beer. Smugs like beer but cannot swim, they will drown in beer, attracted by its smell.
