Keeping apples after the season

Apples can be stored a few months after the end of the season. In a hamper, pour some sand to form a layer, then put your apples, then pour another layer of sand and more apples, and so on so forth. Your apples will be preserved with all their nutritive qualities, away from light and air.. and will keep their delicious taste!
